Over the weekend, video emerged showing promoter Chris Chizer yelling at Fake Drake in the club and ordering security to kick him out. “He says, “Fake Drake can’t be in Area 29.” “Fake Drake can’t stay in here; he has to leave!””
The video got viral almost instantly, and eventually ended up on Akademiks’ page. Drake liked the post, according to a screenshot shared by Ak afterwards.
Drake’s acknowledgement of Fake Drake, a.k.a. Izzy Drake, could, nevertheless, have been part of a larger strategy. Izzy addressed the incident on Instagram Live, claiming it was a manufactured moment to promote the Canadian artist’s new dance album, Honestly, Nevermind.
“I’m not in need of security. They noticed the OVO chain when I stepped in. ‘Oh yo, come in,’ they said “He went on to explain. “I went to the front, where the stage is, and we manufactured that nonsense for Drake’s promo,” she said.

That seems a little hard to believe, but we’ll give it to him. Take a look at Izzy Drake’s explanation in the video below.
