Shox, a peculiar cushion that received significant marketing support at the turn of the century, is one of Nike’s most endearing marketing ploys. Nike Shox was marketed as a stability-focused platform with four unique pillars at the heel that offered balance and support in response to heel strikes during physical activity, much like the shocks in an automobile. The Supreme Nike Shox Ride 2 slowly emerged over social media after there had been rumors of a collaboration since late 2021, showing the Supreme branding on the genuine Shox pillars. Three of the basic Supreme colorways and a fourth olive/volt combination have been officially unveiled. All have a traditional mesh and leather upper structure with rubber logo panels and DURAPLUSH linings on the tongue and heels. A coordinating set of running headgear comes with this quarter’s Nike Shox Ride 2 hues. Launch day for the Supreme x Nike Shox Ride 2 collection is scheduled for June 23 (June 25 in Japan).
